McFrankenboo BBQ is about to embark on another BBQ season in a few weeks so we felt that this would be a great time to recap the 2009 season and look forward to 2010!!



We competed in 9 events in 2009 and pulled in 5 top 10 overall and 3 more top 15 finishes, beating some of the best of the best in the world of BBQ! Heck, we’ve even been shown on TLC’s new show “BBQ Pitmasters”!  We ended up tied for the 3rd overall team in the state of Arizona and 1st place team in the Pork category.



We are planning on doing a few more competitions this year and hopefully we will continue with the good results we’ve had!  We will begin the 2010 season with a new competition out in beautiful Lake Havasu City (no, we will not be taking part in Spring Break festivities…well the activities may be similar, but that’s the beauty of late nights at BBQ competitions!).   We will hit the ground running three weeks after that with a local competition in Chandler, then again one week later in New Mexico and then again  two weeks later in Scottsdale!  Whew, we’re already getting tired!  It will be a whirlwind season but it just doesn’t seem right when we’re not doing it.
